CHILDCARE:

CHURCH SERVICES:
5:00 p.m. every Sunday and church holidays at the Obertauern church (Wisenegg). The church was built in 1620 to plans drawn up by cathedral architect, Santino Solari.

LIFT PARKING:
Our daytime visitors can take advantage of some 24,000 m2 of parking areas.  BAN ON NIGHT PARKING from 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.  No night parking available for motor homes in Obertauern!  The nearest night parking is in Radstadt or Mauterndorf (campgrounds).  

LIFT RIDES FOR NON-SKIERS:
The Zehnerkar and Grünwaldkopf lifts also transport people without ski equipment (restaurant guests).   

LIFTS & SLOPES:
The 28 area ski lifts are located all around town, creating a unique ski region consisting of the RED TAUERNRUNDE and the GREEN TAUERNRUNDE. This clever system offers the opportunity to buckle on your skis and leave from any point, ski all the slopes of the Tauernrunde, then return to your original starting point. If you are ready for a change of pace, there are also very attractive ski runs outside of the Tauernrunde itself.  This means you are able to take full advantage of the different snow, lighting and temperature conditions to get the most out of your skiing experience. All the lifts can be reached on skis from any hotel.  You never have to use your car during your vacation.  Extensive ski bridges have been constructed to aid in crossing the main highway.

Total Capacity: 38,250 passengers per hour. Hours of Operation: from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; in spring until 5:00 p.m.. The Achenrainbahn and the Kirchbühellift stay in operation every day for half and hour longer, in order to carry passengers up to the Passhöhe.

95 km of slopes, of which 59 % are easy (blue signs), 37 % intermediate (red signs), 4 % expert (black signs). Clearly visible signs for ski runs (at each major slope intersection) make it easier for skiers to get their bearings within the ski area. 

NIGHT-SKIING:
Every Monday and Thursday, lifts remain in operation for night-skiing from 7:00 until 10:00 p.m. All tickets valid for 1 1/2 days or longer are accepted.

SKI BUS:
 Visitors from the Lungau region and Untertauern (from the Gasthof Hammer) can enjoy free rides on local buses from their hotel to the ski area and back, in combination with a valid lift ticket from Obertauern, the Top Tauern Ski Pass, or a LUNGO pass. (Group and school-group tickets do not automatically entitle group members to bus use!). Additional information is also available from the post office in Obertauern, Tel.: 7201.

Lungau- Katschberg- Obertauern fare alliance - LUNGO: Ticket alliance between Obertauern and all lift companies in the Lungau region (Grosseck - Speiereck, Fanningberg, Aineck-Katschberg, Schönfeld - Karneralm).
