A family holiday here in Salzburger Land is a holiday full of possibilities. When you step outside the door of the Hotel Steiner in Obertauern, mountains, forests and meadows await you as far as the eye can see – for skiing, hiking, mountain biking – to discover nature and enjoy it to the full together.
But because the weather can’t always play along, we have made the big and small guests of our family hotel between Pongau and Lungau independent of it: with our BergSPA for families, a forest playground, a wood workshop and activity lounge, a studio for our little big artists and of course the indoor playground for playing in the sand in the middle of the hotel.
No entertainment, no timetable – just time to play together. Just the way you imagine a family holiday in Salzburger Land.

Forest playground, wood workshop, art studio, sandpit – and all under one roof, inside the hotel, so completely independent of the weather outside. For little ones, our child-friendly hotel in the Salzburg region is a place to play, run around and have fun. Sometimes creatively, sometimes boisterously. And always well looked after.

Apart from the fact that parents at Hotel Steiner have plenty of opportunities to spend quality time with their children, there are also cosy corners in our gourmet hotel in Austria where they can find peace and relaxation. For example, at the stylish hotel bar or in the breathtaking adults-only BergSPA for wellness among adults on the roof of our hotel. With a view and a sense of well-being.
And to give you the time you need, we offer loving childcare for children aged 3 and above who are out of nappies from Monday to Friday at our family hotel in Obertauern.
