A journey into the past – For the 23rd time, the historic market and Mauterndorf Castle will be transformed into a wonderful medieval hustle and bustle on 6 & 7 July 2024. A varied programme for young and old is on offer. The people of Mauterndorf turn back the clock and take medieval fans and all those who want to become one on a journey through time to medieval concerts and performances, campsites and craft markets.
The big parade takes place on Saturday and Sunday at 2.00 pm.

The medieval festival in Mauterndorf is a true paradise for children. The children’s programme has been a matter close to the organisers’ hearts from the very beginning.
Starting with the spectacular show fights, where you can watch real knights at work, and the guided tour of the camp, where you can learn lots of interesting facts and figures about life in the Middle Ages, right up to the final official knighting by a real knight.
At Mauterndorf Castle, you can tailor your own garb or train to become a knight.
To satisfy the hunger and thirst of the little knight or damsel, the catering in Mauterndorf has plenty to offer and ensures that nobody goes home hungry.
