we live and love snow
Snow and Obertauern. It’s like Romeo and Juliet, Adam and Eve or Bonnie and Clyde. It’s a love affair.
It is time to confess something to you. Perhaps you know that we, the Steiner family, love Obertauern and we also live here. It is our roots and also the roots of our children. But do you know what we love most about Obertauern? The snow! And no, that’s not just a figure of speech!
Our Maximilian is already so fond of skiing that he skips lunch on Friday afternoons and throws himself straight from his school uniform into his skiing clothes.
And our Jakob – have you ever seen snow in front of our hotel entrance? No? Well, he and his shovel are responsible for that, every snowflake is shovelled away as soon as it lands.
Now to us, my husband and I, we enjoy going for a walk once a day, whatever the weather. But I have to admit that my head clears the quickest when I can watch the snowflakes dancing.
This feeling, this love connects us to our guests. When the first guests arrive in winter and the anticipation of snow is already so great, it doesn’t matter where the room is when they check in. The only thing that matters is where the ski suit, the skis and the first lift are. This love affair with snow would last longer than any romance novel.
